PSAs Calista open logistics platform revealed

Speaking at TOC Asia, Tan Chong Meng, PSA International Group chief executive, said that current digital responses only address one specific pain point in the logistical process, treating the problem as one dimensional or two dimensional at best.

“Fundamentally we see logistics as a 3D problem. We believe the timing is conductive to try and bring an ecosystem together. Our open platform Calista will connect the physical cargo flow, regulators and trade financing,” he said.

PSA sees Calista as the connection between the physical and the digital, bringing the flows together to ultimately improve cargo flow choices and allow shippers to better manage the physical flow of goods, financing and compliance.

“With this nucleus we have already started to create an initial product, which is now being used by selected customers and stakeholders. This is a long journey and we look forward to this being a new platform for collaboration among our ecosystem.”

PSA is also revamping its community system Portnet as Portnet+ to move beyond servicing the Singapore port community to other locations.
