One option reportedly being considered is a port terminal on the Pacific coast to be used exclusively by land-locked Bolivia.

The port has been discussed before but the meeting between presidents Morales and Bachelet is the first time the issue of it being exclusively for Bolivians has been raised.

It is even more noteworthy given the sometimes strained relations between the two neighbours.

If all goes well, the presidents are expected to release a timetable regarding the tenders for the development of this and other initiatives.
