Buenos Aires port will be adding to its Liebherr family

Two Liebherr super post-panamax ship-to-shore gantry cranes are destined for the Port of Tilbury, in the UK. The cranes are scheduled for delivery during the first quarter of 2010.

At the same time, two more container cranes have been ordered by the Port of Buenos Aires, Argentina, for delivery in the second quarter of 2010.

All the cranes have a waterside outreach of 50.5 metres with a capacity of 65 tonnes under twin lift spreader.

Further, Piraeus Port Authority in Greece has ordered ten electric straddle carriers for its new Pier I terminal (bringing the total in the port up to 58) and there is a continued order of four more RTGs for the Port of Livorno in Italy, which will be delivered during the summer of 2009.
