Spreader enables tipping

45 deg tipper

New spreader technology developed by Swedish-based manufacturer Elme is enabling reach stackers to empty laden bulk shipping containers via tipping.

According to Elme's exclusive distributor in New Zealand and Australia, Eurolift, the ability to tilt containers up to 45 degrees is ideal for unloading such flowing bulk materials as minerals, bales of waste, grain, fertiliser and coffee beans.

The time-saving spreader comes in two options - model 327 offering a fixed 20-foot container capability and model 817 able to telescope between both 20-foot and 40-foot containers.
