Liebherr has finalised a contract with the Port of Tauranga, New Zealand for the supply of a super post panamax container crane, which will have a lift height of 36.2m and an outreach of 48m - higher and longer than the original three post panamax units (delivered in 1992 and 2004) which already operate in the company of a fourth, older tango type crane. Included in the contract is upgrade and refurbishment work on two of these cranes.

"It's our first true order in Scandinavia ... it's the first major order since the two companies joined together," he said.
