Cape Town to get Kalmar RTGs
South Africas largest stevedore company, Transnet, has committed to an order of 32E-One+ rubber-tyred gantry cranes from Kalmar. The 1-over-5 high and 1+6 wide units- scheduled for delivery starting in June 2009 with the final cranesarriving by November 2010 – have been earmarked for the expansion ofthe Cape Town container terminal operation.
