Doles Ecuador banana port up to 60% of capacity

According to Juan Carlos Alferez, manager of Dole Ecuadors new private port, near Guayaquil, throughput of mainly export bananas has pushed the facility up to 60% of capacity. However, Dole is not the only customer with several other banana exporters channelling produce through the private port along with a handful of shipping lines and private sector import/ export companies.
