MSC Commits to New Venice Terminal

Terminal Intermodale Venezia (TIV) signalled its entrance to the container handling business in Venice, Italy, with the handling of its first Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) vessel in mid-May. Four MSC vessels per week are now scheduled to call at the terminal which anticipates a throughput of 120,000TEU in its first year of operation rising to 160,000+TEU in the second year.
