New fenders open Maher terminals to larger vessels

Upgrading of the Maher Terminals facility in Port Elizabeth, New Jersey, has included the replacement of the original timber fenders with high performance Trellex Fender units from Metso, enabling the existing structure to withstand higher berthing energy. The infrastructure upgrade, including the new fender systems, gives the terminal the capability to berth vessels as large as post-Panamax sized.
