McLaughlin & Harvey secures Dover port framework
McLaughlin & Harvey wins two places on Dover’s contractor framework, supporting future marine infrastructure and building upgrades through 2032
Construction and civil engineering contractor McLaughlin & Harvey has secured appointments on the Port of Dover’s new Project Contractor Framework, positioning the company to support future infrastructure developments under the port’s 2050 Masterplan.
The framework runs until May 2032, with McLaughlin & Harvey appointed to Lot 2 – Berths & Marine. Its McLaughlin & Harvey WorkSpace division has also secured a place on Lot 4 – Building Fabric & Services, covering building-related improvements and services.
“Following on from the successful completion of our Dover Western Docks Revival project for the Port of Dover, we are pleased to announce that we have secured a place on the port’s ‘Project Contractor Framework’ within Lot 2 – Berths & Marine,” said Seamus Devlin, managing director at McLaughlin & Harvey. “We look forward to collaborating with the Port on its future marine developments.”
The appointments build on the contractor’s recent delivery of the £53 million Dover Western Docks Revival project, completed in partnership with Boskalis Westminster. The development created 10 hectares of new port land through extensive dredging and reclamation, alongside new roads, utilities and supporting infrastructure.
The latest framework agreements will provide opportunities for both divisions to contribute to critical infrastructure upgrades as Dover progresses its long-term development plans. The port’s 2050 Masterplan sets out its ambitions for future growth and infrastructure investment.
The announcement comes ahead of the British Ports Association Conference 2026, which takes place at the Port of Dover on 21–22 October. McLaughlin & Harvey will return as a Gold Sponsor at the event, which brings together stakeholders to discuss the future of the UK ports and maritime sector.
For the first time, the company will also bring its YouMatter Wellbeing Bus to the conference. Delegates will be able to access complimentary health checks with qualified healthcare practitioners and relaxing massages during the two-day event.
