The annual World Ports Conference brings together global port leaders and key stakeholders from the shipping sectors to explore the opportunities and challenges facing the maritime industry. This year’s #IAPH2026 will be held in London, UK, offering a programme of plenary, breakout and workshop sessions and a gala dinner celebrating the IAPH Sustainability Awards.	Coastlink is a neutral pan-European network dedicated to the promotion of short sea and feeder shipping, and the intermodal transport networks through the ports that support the sector. It is a place for industry professionals to meet and discuss future innovation, economic and environmental considerations – and develop partnerships that will help build a sustainable future.

Haiti’s “first modern container terminal”, Port Lafito, operated by the GB Group, will benefit from a Tideworks terminal operating system (TOS).

The new greenfield container terminal, strategically located just 19km north of the Port-au-Price industrial zone and international airport, is part of the government’s goal to decentralise and promote infrastructure development outside the congested capital.

“We are very excited about this project, which will have significant economic impact on Haiti and the region,” said Pierre Liautaud, project manager for Port Lafito. “We knew we would need a comprehensive TOS solution to help us manage what will be Haiti’s first modern container terminal, and we couldn’t be happier with our selection of Tideworks.”

Tideworks’ TOS package will include the deployment of Tideworks’ Mainsail Vanguard core TOS, Forecast web portal, Spinnaker Planning Management System, and its Traffic Control equipment dispatch system for the terminal.

In addition, the group operates an off-dock container yard, which will also be managed by the Tideworks TOS solution.

Tideworks will handle all implementation including project management, software configuration and installation, user training and go-live assistance. Post installation, it will also provide Port Lafito with on-going software maintenance and support services and remote support of the IT infrastructure under an information technology services agreement.

Project implementation is scheduled for completion in Q1 2015, when Port Lafito expects to commence terminal operations.

Port Lafito forms part of an integrated economic zone project being developed by GB Group on 300 hectares of privately owned land.
