Port of Rotterdam launches ammonia partnership

The Port of Rotterdam, OCI Global and bunkering specialist Victrol are teaming up to develop a refrigerated clean ammonia bunkering supply chain across the Netherlands and Belgium

Under the memorandum of understanding, OCI’s subsidiary, OCI Ammonia Distribution, will lead the sourcing and import of blue and green ammonia from major global hubs including the US, Middle East, North Africa and Asia.

The ammonia will arrive by sea at OCI Terminal Europoort (OTE) – the port’s only independent large-scale ammonia import terminal – where it will be stored and distributed for marine fuel use.
