
The milestone saw the 200-metre pure car and truck carrier Lake Shirasagi connect to shore power at the German port, with Cavotec supplying and commissioning a PowerReceive system to make the vessel shore power ready.
Cavotec said that the project marks the first shore power connection of a PCTC vessel in Europe, highlighting the growing momentum behind electrification solutions for RoRo and automotive shipping.
