ZEPA ramps up decarbonisation efforts

The Zero Emission Port Alliance has welcomed new members Ampcontrol, Kalmar and PSA Antwerp, bringing its total membership to 14 as it ramps up efforts to accelerate decarbonisation across the global container port industry

The alliance, launched in 2023, is focused on enabling widespread adoption of battery-electric container handling equipment (BE-CHE) through cross-industry collaboration.

ZEPA members are committed to tackling key barriers to BE-CHE implementation, such as affordability, voluntary standard-setting and grid infrastructure readiness.
