VOLUMES UP IN SAUDI ARABIA
Saudi Arabian ports handled 119m tonnes in 2004, a 6.3% increase. Exports of 76m tonnes were up 7.3%, while imports grew by 4.6% to 43m tonnes. Container throughput was 3.18m TEUs, an increase of 30.5%.
