The
energy efficiency and recycling REGEN System has already been installed at the Long Beach Container Terminal and the ITS terminal in the Port of Long Beach, and at the STS/Evergreen Terminal in the Port of Los Angeles. Additionally, REGEN is installed on RTG cranes at ports in China and Korea.
Said Tony Aoun, president and chief executive of VYCON: “We believe that our system is the only RTG crane pollution control technology that generates a meaningful return on investment to the buyer.
“We have a unique technology that reduces every type of emission produced by crane engine exhausts while improving the crane’s performance and reducing its fuel consumption by up to 35%.”
CARB has verified that the system reduces diesel particulate matter emissions by 25%-50%, levels of oxides of nitrogen (NOX) by 30% and CO2 by 25%.
