Special handling for Bristol

After turning to a specialised handling company for its reachstacker operations, privately-owned Bristol Port is now looking at savings of up to £ 90,000 per annum.

The five year contract to Cooper SH (worth in excess of £1m), is for the supply of four 45 tonne Konecranes reachstackers with servicing and lifetime cost considerations, plus bespoke modifications to the trucks.This included re-designing the depth and access of the steps to correspond with existing port design and fitting an Eco Drive system to manage fuel consumption.
