The two day conference brought together the international port community to share best sustainability practice both from India and around the world.
Topics covered the practical issues of reducing emissions in ports and terminals as well as environmentally efficient technologies for planning, expansion, operations and equipment. Also hot on the agenda were investment options, integrating the port into a city, optimising hinterland connections and the greening of the logistics chain.
Other highlights included presentations from leading experts including Patrick Verhoeven, Secretary General, European Sea Ports Organisation, Giuseppe Di Luca, Head of Environment, Port Authority of Genoa in Italy and Professor Michele Acciaro, Assistant Professor of Maritime Logistics, Kühne Logistics University.
