In the session Spotlighting practical action to address climate resilience, water scarcity & adaptation, the panel will discuss how ports are adapting to long-term environmental change. From resilience planning and lifecycle integration to real-world lessons from drought and adaptation projects, they will spotlight practical action for a more sustainable future.
Moderated by Christopher Wooldridge, Science Coordinator with ECOPorts EcoSLC, the session will hear from chemical engineer Chrysanthi Kontogiourgi and Paula Sengo, Head of Studies and Planning, representing the ports of Piraeus and Lisbon respectively, Ingrid Lambert, Green Ports and Climate Resilience Consultant at Haskoning, and Maria Eduarda Medeiros, a Mechanical Engineer and Naval Construction Technologist who will highlight the response to the ongoing Amazon drought.
