A broad perspective can sometimes provide a different point of view, and Stephanie Haszczyn, a Senior Policy Manager at Logistics UK, can certainly provide that as moderator of a session at next week’s GreenPort Congress.
Logistics UK is one of the Britain’s largest trade bodies, representing over 22,000 members from a variety of transport sectors, including maritime, road, rail and aviation, while supporting, shaping and standing up for efficient logistics.
Haszczyn is currently focused on the decarbonisation of logistics, looking at barriers and opportunities facing operators and logistics providers across all modes.
With years of experience in sustainability reporting and policy, she has led projects spanning sustainable finance and stewardship, and has worked to educate policymakers on key issues including net-zero ports, the growing demand for depot charging, and feeding into country-level climate change plans.
At GreenPort she will moderate a session – Port infrastructure, terminals & sustainable operations – exploring how ports are balancing infrastructure delivery, terminal efficiency and environmental responsibility. The session will also examine practical approaches to building a more efficient, adaptable and sustainable future for ports.
Among those contributing are Mike Sellers, Port Director at event host Portsmouth International Port, Helena Puce, Senior Environmental Advisor at DP World, Mark Simmonds, Director of Policy & External Affairs at the British Ports Association, and Brix Lacroix, Junior Policy Officer at NABU, the Nature And Biodiversity Conservation Union, Germany’s oldest and largest environmental association.
