The call for papers are as follows:
· Environmental policy framework/legislation – national and international
· Infrastructure – green initiatives for development and construction
· Investment for port development – financing green projects, initiatives and challenges
· The pros and cons of becoming more environmentally friendly and the effects on business and society
· Carbon foot printing: measuring and reducing
· Energy reduction in the port area
· Improving efficiency and increasing profitability in ports and terminals
· CSR and green initiatives, the port-city interface and engaging with the community
· Use of LNG as a marine fuel: bunkering, supply and safety
· Solutions for and monitoring of terminals: bulk handling /container handling/coal – air, waste, dust, noise and water monitoring
Abstracts using case studies relating to international and regional ports and terminals are invited, in particular, papers detailing projects of a highly sensitive environmental nature.
They should be no longer than 250 words and should be sent, together with a biography of the speaker, to conference@greenportasia.com by 27 September 2013.
