Sustained strong demand for Australian coal has led to a need for capacity expansion at the terminal to meet the needs of existing and potential mining customers.
Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) has ordered three super post-Panamax quay cranes from IMPSA (Malaysia) together with RTGs the port’s new phase 2 development site. The cranes will be the largest PTP has operated to date, and they are expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2005. Delivery of the15 new RTG’s is expected in the second quarter of 2005.
