Wind and quake-proof STS for Russia

A new type of post-panamax ship-to-shore (STS) container crane has been delivered to NUTEP terminal, a joint venture of NCC and the Delo group, in Novorossiysk. This is the first Liebherr STS container crane ever shipped to Russia, and has been designed to protect against the wind and seismic activity typical in the area. The new unit has an outreach of 46m allowing it to handle vessels up to 16 rows across. This unit will join four cable reel Konecranes RTGs that were delivered earlier this year.
