The company says port marine departments are experiencing an ever-growing requirement to provide statistical data to either internal or external organisations. PMIS Standard Edition has been designed to meet this requirement. It follows a recent proof-ofconcept software trial conducted at several UK ports which showed that the PMIS could be dispatched as a boxed CD, installed by the port’s staff and commissioned with minimal support from Norcontrol IT.
Products in the Suite to be deployed at Tampa include WiseTerm, for managing multipurpose cargo terminals, WiseCare, for warehousing and inventory control, WiseStuff for container vanning and devanning, and WiseTalk, an advanced tool for communicating with customers and third parties. The Wise Product Suite offers a comprehensive system that can run on all sorts of platforms, from Unix to Windows PC’s. The suite provides user-friendly solutions for all aspects of cargo management, including advanced billing functionality.
Implementation is scheduled for the first quarter of 2005.
