The Port Authority of Valencia (PAV) is installing a device to generate electrical energy from waves. In conjunction with the City Council of Valencia, a pilot Wave Energy Converter is being installed in the northern part of the Port of Valencia, in an area known as the “hammer” where wave forces are stronger. This project complements with the PAV’s strategic goal of decarbonisation and the commitment to renewable energy sources.
