A key session at next month’s GreenPort Congress will bring experts from across the maritime sector together to explore how data, monitoring and environmental insight can help ports reduce emissions, strengthen resilience and make better-informed decisions.
The discussion will open with contributions from Rhona McDonald, Senior Sustainability Advisor & IMO Liaison Officer at IAPH, alongside Manfred Lebmeier, the Senior Environmental Advisor at Hamburg Port Authority, who will provide insight into the evolving environmental priorities facing the global port sector.
Together with insights from other contributors, the session will showcase how environmental intelligence is being applied in practice – from vessel emissions monitoring and channel optimisation to shore power assessment and sustainability strategy – enabling ports to make data-driven decisions that support decarbonisation, resilience and sustainable growth.
