GreenPort Cruise & Congress brings together the whole port community. Running the conference for the first time to a hybrid audience in 2021 we welcomed attendees from 26 counties in Europe, North America, Asia and Oceania. Conference attendees included port authorities, as well as terminal operators, shipping lines, logistics operators and key cruise and commercial operators.

Andrew Webster, Chief Executive of Mercator Media commented “We are pleased to announce the 2022 host of the Congress and look forward to the important insight and knowledge that a world leading port such as Zeebrugge will bring to the conference”

Officials at Port of Zeebrugge commented “The Port of Zeebrugge, welcomes GreenPort Cruise & Congress. Our ambition is to be the world’s first port to reconcile economy, people and climate.”

The 2022 conference will cover a range of themes including Green Hydrogen, Sustainable Partnerships, monitoring of physical, chemical, and biological components whilst controlling their impacts, collaborative community projects, links between ports & shipping, eco-cruise ships and sustainable cruise initiatives in Europe.

The GreenPort Cruise & Congress brings together the whole port community and is the platform for the exchange of information on the latest in sustainable environmental practice. Experts from the Port will be present at the conference, speaking to delegates on their current developments.

The Congress will assist maritime ports and terminals in reducing their carbon footprints whilst becoming more sensitive to environmental considerations, which is vital to their future success.
