The Programme for the first GreenPort Cruise Conference, which will be held on the 13th September 2011 at the Hotel Atlantic Kempinski, Hamburg, Germany, has been updated and is now available to view online by clicking here.

Held in association with Cruise Gateway and supported by the European Cruise Council, this one day Conference will include sessions on: 'Environmental Certification as a USP for North Sea Region Ports' and 'Sustainable land-based cruise tourism development in the North Sea Region'. In addition, delegates will be able to participate in a practical on site technical visit and the Conference will finish with a discussion session on 'Tasks and challenges of Cruise Ports for short- and long-term strategies'.

Delegates will be able to choose from the following for the technical on-site visit:

1) Terminal site inspection of the new cruise facilities in Altona, guided by Mr. Joachim Köhn, Managing Director HanseCC

2) Presentation of the new harbor city area, combined with a short harbor boat trip. Focus: sustainable city development, guided tour by a representative of the HafenCity Hamburg GmbH

3) AIDA cruise ship visit (For Cruise Gateway Partners only)

Delegates at GreenPort Cruise will be invited to join the Welcome Reception for GreenPort Congress on the 13th September 2011 but must register as soon as possible to be guaranteed a place at the Reception.
