UNIT45 unveils next-generation electric reefer

UNIT45 will showcase its latest-generation 45ft palletwide electric refrigerated container, equipped with the Thermo King Magnum Eco refrigeration unit, at Intermodal Europe 2026 in Rotterdam from 10–12 November.

Designed for road, rail and sea networks, the new reefer combines advanced temperature-control technology, sustainable materials and optimised cargo capacity.

The Thermo King Magnum Eco features an enhanced compressor, next-generation evaporator and electronic expansion valve. UNIT45 says these components are designed to improve energy efficiency, maintain reliable temperature control and reduce maintenance requirements.

The system is also prepared for alternative low global warming potential refrigerants, including R1234yf, and incorporates LBA insulation foam and waterborne paint.

With capacity for up to 33 euro pallets, the 45ft palletwide container also offers increased loading efficiency for temperature-sensitive shipments.
