Electric pallet trucks

A material handling solutions provider has launched a new range of compact electric pedestrian trucks to handle pallet loads from 1.4 to 2.0 tonnes.

The range from Linde comprises four models – T14, T16, T18 and T20. With its compact lithium-ion battery the T14 is suited to tight corners, whilst the more powerful T16, T18 and T20, with the choice of lithium-ion or lead acid batteries are intended for more intensive applications.

Both the T14 and T16 have a significantly shorter chassis (429 mm) making them highly manoeuvrable and suitable for use in narrow aisles or in delivery vehicles. With the option of an integrated charger, intermediate charging can be carried out at any power outlet.

Truck speed automatically adjusts to the tiller position and, when the operator releases the tiller, automatic electric braking automatically stops the truck. An optional creep speed function provides additional control in tight corners.

An optional ‘smart bumper’ – a rubber sleeve with sensors on the rear of the chassis – detects even the lightest foot contact and shuts the truck down, protecting the operator’s feet from becoming trapped under the chassis.

A multifunction display provides the operator with information regarding operating hours, battery and maintenance status. The option of special load wheels keeps vehicle noise below 60 decibels, allowing for use at night.
