Grimaldi slams Tin Can scanning
Grimaldi Lines has alleged that cargo scanning services are non-existent at the port of Tin Can Island, where they are supposed to be carried out by Port and Terminal Multiservices Ltd.
Grimaldi claims the company, set up by Global Scan, has not undertaken a single scan in the last three years – putting pressure on scanning services at Grimaldi’s own terminal. Such a claim is refuted by Global Scan, which states that containers are being scanned, although capacity take-up is only around half of what is possible.
