Angola restructures ports

The Angolan Transport Minister, Augusto Tomá s, has announced a radical reform of the Merchant Marine and ports sector as a means of restructuring and modernising them. Management is to be improved and congestion at ports, such as Luanda, reduced.

By the end of the expansion programme, 32 rubber-tyred gantry cranes will be operational within the terminal, together with eight Liebherr ship-to-shore cranes, (four of which have already been delivered and assembled).
