Botany Build Up

An unprecedented build-up of import containers has caused Patricks Port Botany terminal in Sydney to throw everything it can at relieving congestion.

Import volumes achieved during last year’s Christmas rush have been maintained since, and now the terminal is training 60 new staff to drive straddles.

Other measures include temporary extensions of time import containers can remain at the terminal before importers are charged storage.
