Damietta invests $680m

TheEgyptian port of Damietta is to invest $680m to improve existinginstallations and construct new quays to boost capacity to 4.5m teu.

The expansion is being driven by burgeoning demand, with the port handling 498,000 containers in 2007, effectively breaching its engineered capacity.
