Big spend in Israeli ports

Israel Ports Development & Assets Co Ltd has published a tender worth $40m for the design of new port infrastructure.

This could be built either at the port of Ashdod or at Haifa and will encompass breakwaters, piers, dredging, land reclamation and port development.

The work, which is due to be completed by 2015, forms part of an overall $800m upgrade package for Israeli ports.
