Antwerp takes 99th MHC from Gottwald
Gottwald has recently supplied an HMK 360 EG MHC to Antwerp Bulk Terminal (ABT), operator of five bulk terminals in the port. The new crane is also the ninety-ninth to be delivered to Belgium by Gottwald. The HMK 360 EG is the largest four-rope grab MHC ever built.
GreenSeas has already been successful in its home waters in Trinidad and Tobago where the “Litter kills Marine Life” campaign saw the placement of rubbish bins along Tobago’s heavily polluted public beaches.
“Antwerp relies more than any other port in the world on Mobile Harbour Cranes, said Joachim Kroll, Gottwald’s Benelux representative. The new crane for ABT will discharge coal and other bulks materials with a capacity of more than 1,500 tonnes an hour.
ABT noted Gottwald’s MHC service station, as well as good past experience with their MHC’s, was a contributory factor in making the purchase.
