Growth hopes for NSW

Growth is expected at New South Wales three main ports this year. Ports minister Paul McLeay said he was optimistic the easing of the global financial crisis would lead to increased trade. Last year Port Kembla suffered a 3% decline and Sydneys Port Botany saw its throughput drop 4%. Newcastle managed to escape the depression due to increased coal exports.
