Heavy-duty eco-solutions

Cargotec, parent of the Hiab, Kalmar and MacGregor brands, has just launched its new EcoService portfolio which aims at providing service solutions that will keep both operating costs and environmental concerns down.

The first solution to be featured in the EcoService portfolio is EcoDriving. Here, Cargotec’s Training Academy teaches best driving practices to customers’ own operators.

The new service affords customers benefits such as improved reliability, longer and more cost-effective equipment lifecycles, sustainable parts sourcing, reduced fuel consumption, and a lower carbon footprint.

“With operating costs and environmental concerns becoming an increasingly critical factor in the efficient management of equipment, Cargotec is setting the standard with EcoService’s range of sustainable, practical and economical service solutions,” said Jason Smith, director of Product & Concept Development for Service Solutions at Cargotec.

Customers can estimate the financial savings they can expect from EcoDriving through a cost-savings calculator on Cargotec’s Training Academy website (www.cargotec.com/cta).
