Environmental survey in the Middle East
Emapsite, global specialist in GIS and environmental monitoring, has expanded its operations in the Middle East with the opening of a second office in Saudi Arabia.
Justin Saunders, international director of Emapsite in the Middle East, said: “It’s a natural step given our specialist expertise and the rising demand in the Middle East for GIS as a critical part of engineering, environmental and multidisciplinary projects.”
He added: “We want our work to enable government and private sector organisations to play an active part in establishing a sustainable and environmentally responsible region for generations to come.”
The company’s expertise includes environmental impact assessments, habitat and ecosystems mapping for the engineering and construction industries and can help ports with urban and infrastructure planning.
The second office in Riyadh compliments the original base in Jeddah and will attempt to exploit rising demand for specialist environmental expertise in the area.
Middle Eastern customers already include the Presidency of Meteorology and Environment (PME), Ministry of Agriculture, KPMG and Saudi ARAMCO.
Emapsite Middle East officially launched at the Gulf Environmental Forum in May 2011.
