Braemar wins FLNG project

Braemar says the project, which is located offshore near Venice, Louisiana in the Gulf of Mexico, will be one of the world’s largest floating LNG export projects.

It will have three floating liquefaction units that are expected to export up to 24m tonnes per annum of LNG, with operations starting in spring 2018.

Sheila McClain, vice president, business development, Braemar, said: “This is a very exciting opportunity for us. Braemar Engineering brings both floating LNG experience and shore based production experience – a combination of skills which really counts in this rapidly developing field.”

The project includes the modification of existing offshore structures, the construction of new facilities and the construction, installation and operation of floating liquefaction storage vessels.
