BANGLADESH TO BUILD NEW DEEPSEA PORT

(ICTSI), Naha International Container Terminal, Inc. (NICTI) to operate a container terminal in Naha City, Okinawa.

The Bangladeshi government is to undertake a technical and economic feasibility study commencing in January 2005 for the development of a deepsea port. Three possible sites have already been identified, two of which are in the vicinity of Cox’s Bazar and the third near the port of Mongla.
