Shore power to the fore at GreenPort Congress

At the Congress, the ‘Plug in for the planet – Power Purchase Agreement’ session will explore the practical steps needed to bring shore power projects to life, from structuring contracts that balance costs and benefits to aligning energy supply with vessel demand.

Experts will share insights on policy drivers, investment frameworks and real-world lessons from early adopters, highlighting how ports can overcome technical and commercial barriers.

The session will feature Andreas Slotte, head of sustainability and HSEQ, Port of Helsinki; Tom Hennig, chief strategy officer Ventus Ventures and managing director, Ventus Maritime; Georg Matzku, director of shorepower, NatPower Marine and Joseph Camilleri, partner, Mamo TCV Advocates.
