Adsteam Marine is to invest in four new tugs for ports on the Thames and Medway, and at Felixstowe and Southampton, all for delivery next year.
Gottwald Port Technology concluded its business year 2004/2005 on 30 September with record figures.
Following a recent LNG contract, two new Damen 24/11 tugs are planned for the Thames and Medway. The two tugs each have a 70-tonne bollard pull. Another 24/11 with 70-tonne bollard pull will start its service at Felixstowe. Meanwhile, Southampton will benefit from a new Z tech with 60-tonne bollard pull. The Z-Tech design incorporates the best characteristics of both the tractor and ASD tug.
