Big one for Africa
Liebherr has delivered the largest mobile harbour crane in Africa to Intel Nigeria.
The LHM 600 4-rope grab crane has a maximum lifting capacity of 208 tonnes and a maximum outreach of 58 metres.
The crane features a control system that automatically calculates the minimal required rpm for the diesel engine. This reduces diesel consumption by up to 25% without any impact on turnover output.
Liebherr have also recently delivered the biggest bulk machine to operate in the Adriatic Sea. Port of Ploce, Croatia is now using a LHM 500 unit for dedicated bulk handling: the crane has a 75 tonne load capacity in 4-rope grab operation.
