Bromma appoints new president

Mr Virtanen has previously held different senior management positions in Bromma and Cargotec, including managing director for Bromma Malaysia from 2009 to 2013, and vice president of global sourcing for the same company from 2013 to 2014.

Discussing his appointment, Mr Virtanen said: “Bromma is a great company. The people, the culture and the capabilities have taken it to where it is today. I am honoured to be appointed to lead such a great company – it feels like coming home again.”

Antti Kaunonen, chairman of the board of Bromma, said that he was “very pleased” to welcome Mr Virtanen back to Bromma. “Mika has a proven track record of developing global businesses and building successful partnerships,” he added.

“Thanks to his long history in the company, he already knows the organization and the business. I wish him the best of success in driving Bromma further.”

Mr Virtanen will be based in Bromma’s head office in Singapore.
