The CruiseLink Mobile S system signals a shift in the company’s product strategy as it aims to address one of the main barriers to shorepower adoption in the cruise industry – the lack of available quay space for traditional fixed installations.

Ease of use

CruiseLink Mobile S is built around a lightweight, self-propelled cable management unit that can be operated by a single person. Its three-wheel layout and near-zero-turn design allow it to move efficiently in tight areas, while dual-side cable reeling is intended to simplify positioning regardless of vessel layout or quay configuration.

ShoreLink says the system is the most compact cruise-focused cable management solution currently on the market, targeting ports that want to reduce emissions from visiting ships without constructing permanent infrastructure.

The company is also introducing a complementary configuration, the CruiseLink Mobile S Chain Solution.

This option pairs the Mobile S with a chain-based cable routing system that hides cables and connection cabinets beneath protective covers, leaving the quay surface clear for port operations.

The movable chain layout enables the connection point to be positioned anywhere along the berth, giving ports additional freedom to handle vessels of different sizes and power-connection requirements.
