Bids called for third Algeciras box terminal
Interested parties have until December 21to enter bids for a concession to build and operate a third container terminalat the Spanish port of Algeciras.
The new facility, located on Isla Verde quay, will have 1,900 metres of berthing line with alongside draught of 17.5 metres and 720,000 sq m of backup land.
The facility could be operated as a public container terminal or as a dedicated container terminal, or even a combination of both.
