Royal Boskalis Westminster achieved a substantially higher net profit of 37.8m in the first half of 2006.
The same study also concluded that it would be viable to build a new container terminal on the Trattaroli peninsular, which would be managed by the Contship Italia group.
The company said it benefitted from its broad worldwide market position, higher fleet utilisation rate and better margins. The company’s turnover increased to 554m, with growth particularly in the core business of dredging and earth moving.
