CTL and omoqo team up on digitalisation

CTL is now using omoqo’s cloud-based, modular terminal operating system (TOM) to digitise core workflows in its daily container operations. Unlike traditional systems, TOM offers flexibility and scalability for small and mid-sized terminals, allowing them to selectively digitise processes without changing their entire setups.

“We were looking for a solution that wouldn’t require a massive system overhaul but could still deliver real operational impact,” said Alexander Berg, head of operations at CTL.

“With TOM, we’ve been able to improve transparency and reduce manual workload without disrupting our day-to-day business.”

The system was implemented in just eight weeks, with minimal disruption to operations. CTL says it has already seen improvements in data quality, visibility and reduced manual effort. The goal is to gradually replace fragmented tools and manual tasks through TOM’s adaptable platform.

“With TOM, we aren’t offering a finished product,” said Niko Kaufmann, managing director of omoqo. “Cargo-Terminal Lehmann is our first commercial development partner. Together, we’re shaping a solution that is intuitive, transparent and ready to grow with user needs.”

omoqo says it plans to bring on board more development partners and expand TOM’s features iteratively, based on real-world use cases and feedback.
