Hippo Bouys for Milford Haven
FenderCare subsidiary Hippo Marine has been selected by Milford HavenPort Authority (MHPA) to supply five navigational buoys, includingmoorings, for the new South Hook LNG terminal development.
The authority required the buoys to be of Class 2 size and highly visible for LNG tankers. The major cost of ownership of buoys is tied up with lifetime maintenance (usually out-of-water) rather than the initial purchase cost.
These buoys have been designed to maximise the in-water maintenance programme.
